Hello there. Here are the verses for today
Psalm 112:7
He shall not be afraid of evil tidings:his heart is fixed, trusting in the Lord
Isaiah 41:10
Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am they God: I will strengthen thee; yea I will help thee; yea I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.
We praise and look towards the Lord when our lives are good. If we just remembered that even in times of bad if we look upwards, He will always be there to help give us strength to get through what we need to get through. He will hold us above the water so we can breath. He will look over us when we think we are alone. He is ALWAYS there we just have to look up and let him know we know he is there!

The Bible versus for today are:
Isaiah 12: 2
Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the Lord Jehovah is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation.
Psalm 61:2-4
2 From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed. Lead me to the rock that is higher than I.
3 For thou hast been a shelter for me, and a strong tower from the enemy.
4 I will abide in they tabernacle for ever: I will trust in the covent of they wings.
2 Corinthians 3:18
But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord.
If we were to trust in God when our life becomes full of obstacles that we do not think we will be able to budge, he will take our hands and help lead us to a higher ground to remove those obstacles.
We need to think of him has a shelter from the elements. One who will provide us with the security from anything life has to throw at us. Even if we do can not see a higher ground, God is there and willing to help us achieve the highest ground possible, to help us lead the life that he has chosen for us. For he alone, knows when we were born, and when we will die and be resurrected by his side.

Devotion for April 14, 2010
The Bible versus for today are:
1 Corinthians 15:20-23
20 But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the first fruits of them that slept.
21 For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead
22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.
23 But every man in his own order: Christ the first fruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming.
Hebrews 6:19
Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which entereth into that within the veil.
These verses are telling up that we have to continue to have hope that we will be resurrected at death to sit next to our Father and Jesus. God sent his only begotten son to us, so that our sins maybe be forgiven. If we continue to have hope in our Father and walk hand in hand with him, we will be so resurrected. So Christ was first to be resurrected and every man and woman since has been the fruits to Christ's resurrection.
1 Corinthians 15:20-23

Today's Bible Versus are:
Isaiah 6:3
And one cried unto another and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory
2 Corinthians 5:7
(For we walk by faith, not by sight)
1 Thessalonians 5:18
In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of Christ Jesus concerning you.
These versus are reminding us that we need to not only give thanks unto God when we have good times in our life, but also with the bad. When we complain or criticize we are essentially telling God that we can run things better on our own. We can not see into the future, and we can not reach into the Spirit realm because he knows what is best for us even if we don't think so.
He does hear our prayers, every single one of them. Just because he doesn't answer our prayers in our time frame does not mean he doesn't care, or doesn't listen. Trust in the Lord, for He is the only one who knows your past, present, and future.

Devotion for April 13, 2010
Here is the Devotion for today.
The Bible verses are Colossians 3:23, John 15:5, and Psalm 105:4
Colossians
And Whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;
John
I am the vine, ye are the branches; He that abideth in me and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
Psalm
Seek the Lord, and his strength: seek his face evermore.
Okay this to me means that we need to seek God out no matter if our life is going great or if we feel that we can no longer take anything else. We can do all things with God, but won't be able to do anything without him. For without him, we are just shells of the person he wants us to be.
We tend to seek the Lord out when things are great in our lives, and when our life takes a turn for the worst we tend to try and figure out how to get out of the situation on our own. He knows how he wants our lives to turn out, and how he wants us to be able to do things. We need to let him show us the way, and allow him into our hearts and our lives on a daily basis!

Devotions for April 12,2010
Sorry I didn't get to this yesterday but here it is today.
The Versus that were suggested for Monday April 12,2010 are:
Exodus 15:22-25
22 So Moses brought Isreal from the Red Sea, and they went into the wilderness of Shur; and they went three days in the wilderness, and found no water.
23 And when they came to Marah, they could not drink of the waters of Marah, for they were bitter: therefore the name of it was called Marah.
24 And the people murmured against Moses, saying, What shall we drink?
25 And he cried unto the Lord; and the Lord showed him a tree, which when he had cast into the waters, the waters were made sweet: there he made for them a statute and an ordinance, and there he proved them.
Psalm 31:14
But I trusted in thee, O Lord: I said, Thou art my God.
Those were the verses that I read.
When our life is going the way we want to, we praise the Lord and know that he is with us and we trust him implicitly. When things start going wrong, the majority of us (myself included) tend to blame him for what is going wrong We don't trust that he gave us the obstacle because he knows we can overcome it and be stronger.
We need to learn to not only trust our God when things are going right, but to remember to trust and lean on our God when things go wrong. He is always with us. If we only praise him when our life is "perfect" and not when they aren't, we are not truly trust Our Father.
If we try and praise him when our life is full of obstacles, we will be able to fully trust God in all that he does for us and to our lives.

Spending Time with the family
This evening my family and I grilled out for the first time this spring season. It was a little chilly, but otherwise a perfect end to an otherwise disrupting day. We were outside while the sun was setting, and I saw the most beautiful painting done by the absolutely perfect painting. The range of colors in the setting sun could not have work more perfectly together. The golds, yellows, pinks, and yes a little bit of red against the light blue of the sky was so breath taking inspiration. I thank God that I am alive and able to view his paintings. Each sunset is just a bit different from the night before, so he's just improving on what he painted the night before.
God Bless everyone, and I hope you have a blessed evening!
